Today, for leading a perfect life, you need to know the art of time management. Time management is made easier by advent of some technological tools. Below, we have discussed about the most widely used time management tools.

Electronic calendars: If you spend a lot of time in front of the computer, keeping an electronic calendar will help you immensely. One such tool can be easily availed on Microsoft Outlook. Store your work schedule (if possible, put in your schedule of the coming 30 days or at least include your plans for the next week) into it; facts like directions and meeting notes can also be entered and saved in these electronic calendars. Doing this will not leave you searching for information related to your business meetings or personal meetings whenever you need them urgently.

You can also prepare a list of all the pending works you need to complete using online services like Vitalist. The list may include your daily household duties, the pending works you have in your office etc. The duties can be sorted based on their importance. Once a task is finished, tools like Vitalist will also allow you to check it off.

People also often find it extremely difficult to manage their contacts. You must also have experienced problems like not finding a person’s email address when you need it the most. Using online contact managers like Big Contacts and High Rise is the perfect solution for such issues. With these tools, you can save all the important information like email addresses, mailing addresses and phone numbers in a single place. Besides all these, these tools will also allow you to store essential notes, call timings, meeting schedules etc.

In today’s world, there is no such thing as being too careful when it comes to your computer, especially since it probably has important documents saved on it. Aside from important documents, most people keep priceless photos on their hard drives, which is all the more reason to keep your computer happy and running free from viruses.

In order to keep those sensitive files to yourself and away from would-be hackers or identity thieves, you should never run your computer without some sort of antivirus program installed. The word “never” could not be more stressed in this context. Hackers can tap into your network through wireless internet and steal important information, if you don’t have efficient antivirus software.Even going without an antivirus program for a day could cost you the bulk of your personal information.

If you do have to go without an antivirus program for a day, there are some precautions that you should take. For instance, only visit the sites you trust and don’t surf around. If you want to play anything on your computer, like some online casino games, you will be safe when you work with a reliable source you can trust. There are no ways into your personal computer’s information from a trusted gaming platform. Never download anything that doesn’t come from a trusted source.

The more you surf the net and download without an antivirus program, the greater the chance that your computer will become infected by a virus. No antivirus program is 100 percent. If you want to make sure everything is safe, and then use an external hard drive to hold all your personal files. Just make sure your Internet is off when you access it.

By taking precautions, you can keep your computer and files safe.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is still a relatively new field of study. In fact, there is still much to learn and discover about AI. Because AI is meant to actually function the way a human intelligence would function, many people are scared and frightened for more advancements in the field of Artificial Intelligence. However, there are a number of great and important strides being made in AI that will actually help change the way the world runs – for the better.

What is Artificial Intelligence?

Image by Getty Images via @daylife

It seems like a foreign concept, and in many ways it is, but simply put Artificial Intelligence is a part of the computer science field that creates machines and computers to act in the way a human intelligence would act. There are scientists dedicated solely to finding ways that a machine can be more efficient and precise than a human would be. Many years and thousands of dollars have been put into developing AI.

Where is Artificial Intelligence Seen?

Believe it or not, AI is a part of every day life. Meteorologists use AI to help predict complicated weather patterns. Stock traders use AI to help facilitate trading. Even pilots benefit from AI with auto-pilot and other systems that help ensure passenger safety.

In the future, it will be possible to see AI in the form of self-driving cars and office telephone systems.

In all actuality, AI isn’t something to be afraid of – it’s something to be embraced. Artificial intelligence can make the world a better place. As more is learned and developed, AI is sure to become a part of daily life.

What is Artificial Intelligence? It is a field that is broad in nature and not isolated only to computers. There are many disciplines that it includes such as philosophy, neuroscience, and psychology. The practitioners of artificial intelligence not only want to understand intelligence but build and create it too. There are many applications and uses that consist of artificial intelligence this is something that we encounter everyday within our lives.

The meaning of artificial intelligence is different for different people. Even the words that are used to describe the topic of artificial intelligence can be ambiguous. The word artificial can have different meanings as well. You can take the term “artificial light” and it means real light but has been created by a man made source. The light will function the same as any other light. When looking at the term ” artificial grass” though it is not real grass. It is not even considered a plant or made up of materials of a plant. It does not consist of the same properties that real grass has. The benefit of artificial grass is that it performs the main functions of real grass adequately.

The meaning of intelligence has an open interpretation. This leaves the actually definition of artificial intelligence with different meanings. However, the definition of artificial intelligence tends to fall within either of these two categories. These two categories are either focused on the process that is used to reach the goal or the behavior that is used to reach the goal.

Every gamer knows that artificial intelligence has become an essential part of the best gaming experiences. Without smart characters to play against, games get boring. Without strong AI, the characters are either inhumanly difficult to beat or they are ridiculously easy to conquer. New strides by Microsoft, however, might improve the use of artificial intelligence in games. Currently, the company has a team developing AI for a computer version of the popular Chinese game Go.

The Problem of Go

You might wonder what’s so hard about creating good artificial intelligence for a game like Go. After all, it’s a two-player game with extremely simple rules. If programmers can make good AI for complicated games like chess, then why shouldn’t they be able to create strong AI for Go as well.

The difficulty comes down to the overall complexity of the game. Yes, chess is a difficult game for humans to master. Many people play for years before they can even come close to mastering the game. Computer programmers, however, have shown that they can create artificial intelligence that rivals even the world’s best human chess players. Even more impressive is the fact that programmers can create AI for chess games that inhibit the computer’s abilities. This allows gamers to play against a computer opponent that doesn’t completely beat them every time. Instead, they can set the computer’s skill level for each match.

When it comes to Go, however, humans still rule the game. No one has been able to create artificial intelligence that can defeat the top human players. That’s because Go, although simple, consists of 200 unique moves. Chess, on the other hand, only has 20. Microsoft’s programmers have been hard at work on this problem. The current result is a game called The Path of Go for the Xbox 360. Interested players can download a demo version of the game from Xbox’s web site.

Japan has long been known for being the forefront of artificial intelligence technology, innovating, developing and building well over half the worlds industrial robots. But, what you may not know is that Japan has a new development, a newlady on the block to take care of weary, lonely japanese businessmen!

She is called EMA which stands for Eternal Maiden Actualisation. EMA is 15 inches tall and is targeted towards lonely businessmen who are looking for a girlfriend or companion. EMA will be the perfect girlfriend, she kisses on demand, hands out business cards at meetings and above all won’t argue with you. You can turn her off and on when you wish and she is fully interactive and lovable, just without the human touch.

But, are we solving a problem with technology that surely should be solved another way? By human to human kindness and interaction. We communicate more but we engage with each other less and less. EMA may fill a whole in a lonely japanese business mans heart for a while, but will the advancement of artificial intellengence eventually take away the elements of what is so special about the human race? Our emotions, our unpredicability, our souls?

Its certainly a topic worth discussing soon as its predicted that the artificial intelligence industry will be worth well over $10Billion within the next ten years. Look how far we have come in the past decade? There is surely a world of true technological breakthroughs just around the corner.

When you are shopping for Dell computers, you frequently have the opportunity to use Dell coupon codes. These codes make it easier for you when you are ready to pay for your new computer, or when you are sending in the information for the rebate, if rebate coupons are the ones you have.

How do I know I’m getting the most I can out of my Dell coupon codes?

Do your homework first, before you ever start shopping for your Dell computer. List the features and functions that you absolutely must have in a Dell computer. Put down everything, no matter how trivial you might think it is. You never know when that one small thing may mean the difference between saving a little money and saving a lot of money.

Once you know for sure which type of Dell computer you want, dig a little deeper. Use online resources to read reviews, product descriptions, and other information so that you can be as well informed as possible. Make sure you are getting the best reviews by utilizing review sites such as CNET, which has a good reputation for its review services.

In addition, find out as much as you can about consumer satisfaction with Dell coupon codes. Some of these reviews may reveal how to make the redemption process easier, or things to look for when getting ready to redeem your coupons. This way, you’ll make the process easier both for you and for the salesperson that is helping you find just the right Dell computer.

In the past, there were wild theories about what the current time in history would be like. There were flying cars and robots as maids in every house and all kinds of automated processes. Some even thought that food would be in pill form, or that it would be dispensed from a special machine in your house, just by asking for what you wanted. Of course, many of those ideas were rather silly and they certainly haven’t come to pass. Another idea, though, is closer to realistic fruition: artificial intelligence. While there aren’t actual robots walking around acting like humans, that day is probably still coming.

There are many robots that look and act very human, even if they aren’t quite ‘there’ just yet. There are computers that can play chess like a person, and others that can ‘think’ and solve problems that aren’t based just on calculations and formulas. Many people love this idea, and others think that it’s the beginning of a very serious concern for humanity. There are theories about robots taking over and becoming so intelligent that they don’t need people anymore. There are also theories that robots will enslave humanity or simply kill it off.

None of those theories are based in any kind or realistic assumption, but a lot of people are still unsettled by a machine that walks and talks much like they do. That’s understandable, because people generally fear the unknown. If they don’t understand something, it becomes a source of deep concern for them. Nevertheless, artificial intelligence can be used for a lot of good, important things, and it’s not going to disappear anytime soon. Each day, scientists and researchers learn more about how people think and function, and they can put that information to good use creating machinery that can help all of humanity.

Also known as AI, Artificial Intelligence is essentially the intelligence of the machines as well as the computer science branch that focuses on the creation of machine intelligence. In textbooks that focus on artificial intelligence, it is defined as being the study and the design of intelligent agents, where the agent is any system capable of perceiving its environment and taking action to maximize the machine’s chances of success. The term “Artificial Intelligence” was originally coined back in 1956 and defined as being the science and the engineering of making machines that are intelligent.

The artificial intelligence field was founded based on the claim that the intelligence characteristic in humans, the sapience in homosapiens, can be described so precisely that a machine could reasonably simulate it. What this does is raises a variety of philosophical issues regarding the nature of our minds as well as the ethics behind creating beings that are wholly artificial in nature, and these philosophical issues have been addressed in many different forms including by myth, in fiction and even in philosophy.

Artificial intelligence is a topic that has been the subject of optimism despite having suffering setbacks. Today the concepts of artificial intelligence have definitely become an essential part of computer science in terms of the technology industry. Artificial intelligence research is not only highly technical but also highly specialized, and it has been deeply divided into a variety of sub-fields that do not tend to play well with one another. These sub-fields have generally grown up in a variety of different institutions where they have been studied and worked on by a variety of different researchers, and as such, everyone has their own specific opinions on the subject that do not tend to mesh well with one another. Still, this is a fast growing field as researchers are struggling to figure out just what can be done with the mind of the machines.

It’s no wonder that the idea of artificial intelligence is so popular. With movies featuring androids and giant metal gun-toting robot villains, people are fascinated by the thought of a non-human intelligent being. Robotic dogs, military self-guiding robots, computers that learn — none of this would have been possible if not for one conference that occurred in the ’50s.

The newest computers on the market in 1949 had the ability to create AI with the invention of the stored program computer, but the computers required a lot of space, multiple operators and constant coding in order to function, which limited their practical use. Computers remained a military concern for several years and the words “artificial intelligence” did not come into use until 1956. That year, John McCarthy, considered the father of AI, arranged the Dartmouth conference — which spiked interest in studying AI and finally gave computer intelligence a name.

Interest in AI grew continued to grow slowly. AI research centers like Carnegie Mellon and MIT were built. Problem solving was tackled first, in the hopes that someone would be able to make a self-teaching computer. The General Problem Solver (GPS) was first tested in 1957. Built on the Logic Theorist and Wiener’s feedback ideas, the GPS could solve most common problems it was given.

Once the GPS was tested, IBM started the company’s own AI research program. Herbert Gelernter spent the next three years of his life making a program to solve geometry theorems. While interest was increasing in AI, McCarthy created a new language just for AI programming called LISP, which quickly became the number one language for programming AI.

Computers were finally being programmed to “think” and that re-caught the interest of the military. The military granted MIT 2.2 million dollars to aid in researching what they called “machine-aided cognition” or artificial intelligence. Once the military was interested, AI finally had steady funding.
